ENISA Budget 2012 discharge by the European Parliament

Back to News

ENISA's Budget 2012 was recently given discharge by the European Parliament.

The European Parliament has granted the Executive Director of ENISA, Professor Udo Helmbrecht, with its decision of 3 April 2014" discharge in respect of the implementation of the budget of the European Network and Information Security Agency
for the financial year 2012".

Discharge is the final approval of the EU budget for a given year (following the audit and finalisation of the annual accounts).
It is granted by the Parliament on a recommendation from the Council. Discharge equates to approval of how the Agency implemented the budget in that financial year and the closure of that budget.
